Dark Wooden Rocking Chair By Illum Wikkelso For Niels Eilersen, 1960s

Dark beech rocking chair designed by Illum Wikkelso for Niels Eilersen in Denmark in the 1960s. It is composed of a high back formed by eight oblong bars assembled in a curved horizontal band offering great comfort, two organically shaped armrests , with an ovoid seat, four oblong legs connected by four spacers and ending in an arcuate base allowing back and forth movement. Solid and stable, this rocking chair is in good condition since we have completely sanded, stained and varnished it to restore its former glory. An icon of Scandinavian design with its clean and timeless lines, it will find its place in all interiors, whether in the living room, the bedroom or even your veranda. Seat height, H43 cm
